We are privileged to have as our worship service guest speaker Janet Swanson,   Worship Pastor at the CrossRoads Community Church in Statesboro, Georgia, where her husband, Cary is the Senior Pastor.  Janet‘s testimony challenges women to know who they are in Christ. She often says, “Your past is not your past until you are healed from it!” After being bounced from foster home to foster home, suffering abuse and abandonment, Janet has gone through inner healing herself and is now walking in the destiny God had planned for her from the foundation of the world.  God has given her compassion on those who have experienced similar things. Her greatest satisfaction in ministry is when she is anointed to lead people into God’s presence for salvation, healing and deliverance.   Janet has been involved in ministry since 1988 and served faithfully in full time ministry in the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) since 1999.  She is an ordained minister and a member of the State Women’s Ministries Board in South Georgia.  She is an author of 2 published books, her biography One Voice, her newest release A Throne Room View and her prayer/ worship album Near to the Broken.

Our Purpose is to Empower Women…

  • to know Christ
  • to know who they are in Christ
  • to grow as leaders and mentors who disciple others
  • to act by giving their talents, money and time
  • to be the salt of the earth, the light of the world
  • to realize they are valued in God’s kingdom
  • to form small groups, uniting and sharing with women of like passions and interests
  • to strengthen their families and
  • to be God’s hands in the world.

Scriptures…

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20 NIV)

But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. (2 Corinthians 2:14-15 NIV)
